May 4th – Out And About In NYC x19 photos

First it was off to Nylon for an online TV/ magazine interview. What a cool place! From their office dog (a gorgeous little shar pei with a Louis vuitton collar!) to the clothes and vibrant buzz.

After filling them in on my life, love of musical legends (Dolly Parton and Britney to be precise) and exploiting my cooking skills (Doritos, baked beans and cheese in the microwave) I was itching thinking about fashion. I mean, there I was at a cool music, fashion magazine in the heart of Soho, day 2 in New York and I haven’t been shopping yet! It felt like I was sinning, committing some kind of crime or something! I had a hectic schedule ahead of me so with not much time to spare I had to figure out a way to get my shopping fix! Conveniently my shoes were killing me so it was my perfect excuse. I couldn’t possibly carry on the day in blistered pain…. I just had to find a new pair! So off l set for my mission. Driving by I pleaded for the car to stop. There it was, that vision of pure bliss, my true love. Top shop! I know it’s my local in the UK but it feels different in another country, like more exciting. It’s kind of the same thing as when your favorite film that you have on DVD and could watch whenever you want comes on TV. You feel obliged to watch it! So obviously, being the loyal Brit that I am I paid my dues!

A comfy pair of black wedges (and maybe a few other bits!) later I had worked up an appetite so it was off to lunch in the trendy village. I was just hoping it would be normal food…. I’d had enough trauma with my feet today I just needed some good grub. Fish and chips with a glass of ice cold coke. Mmmmmnnnn. I mean it doesn’t beat my Dorito dish but for posh fish and chips it was pretty damn good! Just the fuel l needed for MTV which was next on the agenda.
As we pulled up to the buzzing Time Square, I walked into MTV and guess what they had made me?? My own cakes! Cher Lloyd mini cakes.. how cool is that?!!?! I sang a few acoustic songs alongside the guitar to a room of media moguls and then it was off for my final call of the day – Bullet magazine.

So there you have it, another fun busy day! I’m now ready for meal number 3 so I’m off to eat and then catch an early night ready for my 3rd adventurous day! So I’ll love you and leave you and fill you in on my dinner and day 3 tomorrow!

Hey!. So I arrived in New York last night. Long journey but we got here in the end.. and all I can say is WOW! Hello Big Apple! Today was such fun getting into the swing of it. (Eeeeek!) I mean, it’s not everyday you can say you wake up in New York city to do interviews at America’s top magazines…Today was just your average day…. J-14 magazine, Twist, M, Elle and Teeeeeeeeen Vooooggguuuueee! Me & Teen Vogue, how exciting is that!?!
Oh and obviously New York equals FOOD! I love food.. but let’s just say I’m not overly adventurous! I’m trying though…really I am! As long as I’ve got my chips on the side.. then I’ll try something new. So check out this lovely restaurant we ate at: (see the photo below)

I attempted a 4 cheese ravioli (but l didn’t get very far with it!), and chips…obviously, but to add to the adventure they were with truffle oil.. (that’s a new one!). I even attempted a salad until I discovered it had grapefruit in it! EEEWWWWW!!!!
So anyway, after all that running around, embarking the new adventures of new foods it was back to the hotel for a portion of normal chips and a milkshake! Then l kicked off rehearsing a few acoustic tracks to get ready for MTV tomorrow!

l’ll get some more up tomorrow with day 2 of m y U.S journal.
So far so good! Let the fun begin…and now l need to SLEEP!
